Augmented Artificial Development Environment
A downloadable tool
Hey, I made a desktop AI coding app called AADE: Augmented Artificial Development Environment.
I rebuilt the entire AI side into a real desktop agent. It’s not just a chat box next to an editor anymore. The AI can control the app itself: editor, shell, docks, plugins, toolbars, menu items, themes, project tools, and workflow helpers.
It can do things like:
Read and explain files
Review recent changes
Find bugs
Summarize projects
Work with your own API key and model
Use the built-in shell
Create plugins
Make custom toolbars and buttons
Add menu items
Launch apps or commands
Customize the UI
Build portable theme packs with logos, backgrounds, and overlays
Add new tools to the workspace instead of only suggesting code
The big idea is that the app can augment itself. You can ask it to build a toolbar, add a command, create a plugin, change a theme, or wire in a workflow, and it can actually add that into the desktop app.
Still building it, but it’s turning into a real desktop workbench for coding, automation, and custom AI tools.
